The soil stabilization processes using BATISTEN, an innovative approach, involve an intimate mixture —either compacted or not— of NATURAL OR RECYCLED SOIL from the project site or nearby area, combined with the BATISOLID CMB42 additive, selected aggregates and water. These mixtures, or BATISTEADOS, yield BATISTENES with specific water resistance, strength, and durability.
The creation of "in-situ" soil stabilization with BATISOLID CMB42 —which contains cementitious agents and other additives— involves a homogeneous, uniform blend of dry soil —with retained water, if present—, the advanced binding agent "MIX BATISOLID CMB42 Monocomponent Dry Powder" —content BATISOLID CMB42 ADDITIVE and selected aggregates—, with water. This process aims to reduce the soil's plasticity and susceptibility to water while simultaneously increasing its compression strength, resistance to wear, and resistance to disintegration.
- Method A: "In-situ" mixing of BATISTEN on the ground with a rotavator, using the Proctor moisture criterion.
- Method B: "In-situ" kneading or mixing of BATISTEN with an auto-mixer, followed by spreading
These methods create suitable subgrades without additional treatments, enabling the development of BATISTEN roads and platforms that offer finishes with compression resistance comparable to concrete and wear and disintegration resistance similar to asphalt.
The Project Director will determine the most appropriate method (A or B), as specified in the Particular Technical Specifications. For this reason, INICIATIVAS BATISOLID, S.L. consistently provides comprehensive support services for these processes, ensuring a smooth and successful implementation.
